General Accountant

About the role

The General Accountant will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and support compliance with Saudi regulations. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, collaborating with multiple departments to keep the finance function running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end closing activities.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare VAT returns in line with ZATCA regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of all financial records.
• Process employee expense claims, petty cash, and manage fixed‑asset depreciation schedules.
• Utilize Odoo ERP to process transactions and generate financial reports.
• Support internal and external audits and collaborate with other departments on financial matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience as a General Accountant.
• Hands‑on experience with Odoo ERP.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Professional certifications (SOCPA, ACCA, CMA, CPA) are a plus.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
