General Cashier – Hotel Finance

About the role

Rotana Hotels & Resorts is seeking a motivated General Cashier to join its finance team. The role focuses on handling daily cash deposits, reconciling house funds, and ensuring the Front Office safe remains organized while delivering exceptional service to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Open the Front Office safe each morning in the presence of a Finance employee and the Front Office or Night Manager.
• Collect deposit envelopes, verify contents against the deposit sheet, and report any missing envelopes immediately.
• Reconcile the house fund daily, keep the safe neat and tidy, and record any over/short amounts.
• Report discrepancies to the Income Auditor and Director of Finance/Financial Controller.
• Liaise with money exchange companies to convert foreign currency to local currency.

Required profile

• Degree in hotel management or accounting.
• At least one year of experience in a hotel environment.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• High integrity, analytical thinking, and a positive, self‑motivated attitude.
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and customer‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Opera, Micros FBM, and SUN System.
• General computer literacy.
