General Ledger Accounting Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a General Ledger Accounting Specialist to manage our GL activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions. The role involves maintaining ledgers, preparing journal entries, and supporting month‑end and year‑end closes while collaborating across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accurate financial records.
• Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing processes and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare weekly bank reconciliations, coordinate with functions to resolve reconciling items, and propose permanent solutions.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
• Facilitate provision of information to auditors, attorneys, and other third parties for legal, compliance, and audit matters.
• Collaborate with other functions to support business decision‑making.
• Provide timely and accurate data for IKTVA reporting.
• Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls.
• Perform periodic reconciliation of clearing accounts (e.g., freight, GR/IR, employee advances, petty cash, VAT).
• Assist in intercompany balance reconciliation.
• Help apply IFRS standards to accounting matters and suggest compliance solutions.
• Identify ERP inefficiencies, work with support teams to resolve issues, and improve system performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills across departments.
• Knowledge of IFRS and ability to highlight non‑compliance.
• Experience with month‑end, year‑end, and audit processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Understanding of IFRS accounting standards.
