General Manager – Logistics & Supply Chain

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a major organisation for an experienced and strategic General Manager (Logistics & Supply Chain) based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full‑time leadership role oversees the entire supply chain and logistics function, driving operational excellence, long‑term strategy and cost‑effective, resilient network performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a logistics and supply chain strategy aligned with commercial goals.
• Direct end‑to‑end logistics operations including warehousing, inventory management, transportation and distribution.
• Lead, mentor and empower the logistics team, fostering high performance and continuous improvement.
• Manage departmental budgets, control operational costs and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers and 3PL partners.
• Analyse performance metrics, identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with local and international trade laws, customs regulations and health & safety standards.
• Collaborate with senior management and other departments to ensure integrated operational workflows.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in logistics, supply chain management or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or related discipline; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CILT, CIPS) is a plus.
• Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain principles such as demand planning, inventory control and transport management.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control and financial reporting.
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience working in the Saudi Arabian or wider GCC market is strongly preferred.
