General Manager, Supply Chain

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced General Manager to lead our end‑to‑end supply chain function. This senior leader will shape strategy, drive cost optimisation and ensure operational excellence across procurement, logistics and vendor management.

Key responsibilities

• Define and align supply chain strategy with overall business objectives.
• Develop and execute plans to optimise operations, reduce costs and improve service levels.
• Lead procurement activities, including demand planning, vendor negotiations and budget‑controlled purchasing.
• Oversee vendor management – sourcing, pre‑qualification, performance evaluation and relationship management.
• Manage contract lifecycle from drafting to renewal and compliance.
• Supervise receipt of goods, timely payments and accurate documentation.
• Direct logistics functions such as transportation, warehousing, inventory and distribution.
• Monitor KPIs, report performance insights to senior leadership and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Champion continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost resilience and efficiency.
• Coach, train and mentor the supply chain team.
• Lead supply‑chain‑related projects to successful, on‑time delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in supply chain management or related fields.
• Proven leadership experience in large‑scale or complex operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field; MBA preferred.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
