General Physician (RMO) – Orthopedics & Spine

About the role

The General Physician (RMO) will join the Orthopedics and Spine department at Fakeeh Care, providing comprehensive medical care to in‑patients and supporting the multidisciplinary team. The role involves direct patient assessment, documentation, and coordination of investigations and treatment plans in line with hospital policies.

Key responsibilities

• Interview and evaluate patients, taking detailed medical, medication, socioeconomic, psychological and functional histories.
• Perform physical examinations, document findings, and update the electronic medical record (EMR) promptly.
• Notify and discuss patient status with the attending physician, clarifying work‑up and management plans.
• Conduct daily ward rounds, write progress notes, and create discharge summaries with clear instructions.
• Handle first‑on‑call duties, respond to urgent medical complaints, and coordinate with specialists, nurses, dietitians, social workers and radiology.
• Document clinical justification for advanced diagnostic tests (CT, MRI, US) and ensure accurate ICD coding for insurance compliance.
• Complete handovers at shift change, including pending diagnostic and therapeutic tasks.
• Participate in departmental meetings, quality and patient‑safety initiatives, and continuous medical education.

Required profile

• Medical degree with valid registration to practice in Saudi Arabia.
• Experience in inpatient care, preferably in orthopedics or spine services.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills for patient interaction and handovers.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Accurate ICD coding for clinical documentation and insurance purposes.
