General Practitioner – ICU

About the role

The ICU General Practitioner will provide high‑quality inpatient care within the intensive care unit of National Medical Care Co. hospitals, adhering to evidence‑based medicine, professional ethics, and Saudi health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Take patient histories, perform physical examinations, and interpret basic diagnostic tests.
• Admit patients from the emergency department after consultant approval.
• Develop and execute investigation and management plans in coordination with the supervising consultant.
• Conduct daily rounds, document progress notes, and maintain accurate medical records.
• Prepare discharge summaries, death reports, and special case reports.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and respond to emergencies.
• Assist senior consultants with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Supervise junior staff and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.

Required profile

• Medical degree with at least 3 years (36 months) of clinical experience.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a consultant and follow departmental quality plans.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
