GIS Developer

About the role

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise GIS development, ArcGIS Enterprise, GIS web applications, system integration, and geospatial solutions, with a proven track record in government, infrastructure, utilities, industrial cities, or smart‑city environments. This role involves working closely with clients and stakeholders to design, develop, integrate, and optimise enterprise GIS solutions while providing technical leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance enterprise GIS web applications, portals, dashboards and executive applications using ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, Experience Builder and ArcGIS Dashboards.
• Create GIS automation, scripts and geoprocessing tools with Python and ArcPy.
• Integrate GIS platforms with enterprise systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365) via REST APIs, web services and databases.
• Configure, publish, secure and optimise ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, Server and Enterprise Geodatabases, managing users, roles and permissions.
• Analyse business requirements, produce technical designs, conduct PoCs and coordinate with IT, cybersecurity and vendor teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, Engineering or related field; postgraduate GIS training is a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise GIS development, preferably in government, utilities or smart‑city projects.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage vendor implementations.

Required skills

• ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, Server, Enterprise Geodatabases.
• ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript and ArcGIS REST API.
• Python and ArcPy for automation and geoprocessing.
• SQL with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Dashboards.
• Integration using REST APIs, web services and enterprise authentication (SSO, Active Directory, SSL).
• Knowledge of high‑availability, disaster‑recovery and monitoring (ArcGIS Monitor).
