GIS/Transport Planner

About the role

As a GIS/Transport Planner you will use data‑driven analysis and GIS tools to improve bus network efficiency, increase ridership and support the design of new routes, corridors and BRT systems.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse bus network performance, ridership trends, route efficiency and service coverage.
• Develop and recommend route optimisation strategies and service improvements.
• Support the planning and design of new routes, bus corridors and BRT projects.
• Conduct accessibility and connectivity studies to expand network reach.
• Use GIS to assess spatial demand patterns and urban mobility needs.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align transport planning with urban development plans.
• Assist strategies aimed at increasing ridership and enhancing passenger experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Transport Planning, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering or GIS.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in public transport planning or mobility projects.
• Strong understanding of transport modelling, demand analysis and service planning.
• Experience with bus/BRT systems and multimodal transport integration is preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder coordination and reporting abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ArcGIS.
• Proficiency with QGIS.
