Governance / Legal Specialist – 2‑Month Contract

About the role

We are looking for a Governance / Legal Specialist to support the standardisation of committee regulations and the design of the Board Secretariat governance framework on a short‑term basis. The role will involve close collaboration with the Board Secretariat and various committee chairs to ensure consistent governance practices.

Key responsibilities

• Standardise regulations across multiple committees, resolve conflicts and enhance regulatory processes.
• Support the transition from manual archiving to structured governance mechanisms.
• Develop a policy governance framework covering creation, approval and management of policies.
• Contribute to the Governance Manual that defines Secretariat‑committee relationships.
• Assist in shaping the Board Secretariat’s Operating Model.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in governance, policy drafting, or legal/regulatory work.
• Fluent Arabic (spoken, written and drafting ability).
• Strong drafting and analytical abilities; capable of working independently.
• The candidate must be able to work autonomously and deliver high‑quality documentation within tight timelines.
• Immediate availability for a two‑month engagement.
