Government Relations Manager – Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

About the role

The Government Relations Manager will act as the primary liaison between the company and Saudi government authorities, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and smooth execution of licensing, visa, and work‑permit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with key Saudi government entities such as MOHR, GOSI, MISA, Civil Defense, Customs, Chamber of Commerce, MOI, and local municipalities.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi labor laws, immigration regulations, and all governmental procedures.
• Manage business licenses, renewals, permits and related legal documentation.
• Supervise issuance, renewal and cancellation of employee visas, work permits and Iqamas, and support new staff and families.
• Oversee employment contract creation and renewal via the Qiwa platform and manage the Saudization program.
• Monitor updates to Saudi laws and regulations, provide timely impact analysis to senior management, and submit required reports and filings.
• Develop and implement process improvements for government‑related workflows.
• Lead crisis management, dispute resolution, audits, inspections and disciplinary committee activities.
• Directly manage one administrative assistant/broker.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Law or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Government Relations within logistics, e‑commerce or multinational organizations.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi labor regulations, immigration rules and general business compliance requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with GOSI, Muqeem, Qiwa and Mudad systems.
