Head Barista

About the role

The Head Barista leads the daily coffee and specialty beverage operations for a luxury hotel, ensuring product excellence, operational consistency, and memorable guest experiences that align with Rosewood brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution of the hotel’s coffee and specialty beverage program across all service periods.
• Maintain beverage quality standards, oversee recipes, brewing parameters, and presentation guidelines.
• Conduct daily quality checks, tastings, and calibration to ensure consistency.
• Manage inventory accuracy, stock rotation, and ordering of coffee, milk, syrups, and consumables.
• Train, coach, and develop barista team members, fostering a culture of craftsmanship and hospitality.
• Collaborate with Culinary and Beverage leadership to create seasonal and signature offerings.
• Ensure espresso machines, grinders, and related equipment are maintained and operating at optimum standards.
• Support VIP amenities, special events, and executive meetings with bespoke beverage experiences.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of coffee origins, roasting profiles, and brewing techniques.
• Proven leadership experience in a high‑end hospitality or specialty coffee environment.
• Strong focus on quality control, guest satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work closely with outlet leadership and cross‑functional teams.
