Head of Admission Section

About the role

The Head of Admission Section will lead all functions related to inpatient admission, discharge, and transfer within National Medical Care hospitals and clinics. This senior position ensures seamless patient flow, accurate record keeping, and high‑quality service for patients and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee 24‑hour admission, discharge and transfer operations, ensuring compliance with JCIA standards.
• Maintain and verify perpetual occupancy‑census data and patient account reconciliations.
• Supervise admission staff, enforce departmental policies, and provide on‑the‑job training.
• Manage patient valuables, visitor services, and in‑Kingdom patient transportation coordination.
• Prepare staffing, budget, and periodic performance reports.
• Identify, recommend, and implement procedural improvements and policy changes.
• Resolve administrative issues and respond to emergency situations as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of experience in hospital admission, discharge, or transfer functions.
• Proven managerial experience supervising staff and handling budgetary responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and accreditation requirements.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
