Head of Biology & Chemistry – American Curriculum

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Head Teacher to design and lead the Biology and Chemistry programmes for a new American‑style high school in Saudi Arabia. The role combines curriculum development, teacher mentorship and direct online teaching, operating within a hybrid learning model that blends remote experts with in‑class facilitators.

Key responsibilities

• Design complete Biology and Chemistry curricula (units, lesson plans, assessments, homework) for Grades 9‑10 launching Fall 2026.
• Lead, train and support a team of Biology and Chemistry teachers delivering content on the hybrid platform.
• Teach one online section of Biology or Chemistry, aligning delivery with the newly created curriculum.
• Continuously refine lessons and materials using EdTech and digital tools to boost engagement and differentiation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve curriculum, delivery methods and overall learning journeys.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience designing American high‑school science curricula aligned to CCSS and NGSS.
• Proven experience teaching science to learners for whom English is a second language.
• Recognised teaching qualification (BA/MA in subject area, TESOL, CELTA, etc.).
• Native English speaker with reliable internet and professional video setup.
• Availability to work full‑time Sunday‑Thursday (GMT +3), with possible flexible half‑day arrangements.
