About the role
The institution seeks a dynamic Head of English Department to lead and develop its English language programme. You will ensure high‑quality teaching, drive student achievement, and support teacher growth in line with the school’s academic goals.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the department, aligning curriculum and instruction with school policies and standards.
- Observe, evaluate, and mentor teachers, providing feedback and organising professional‑development workshops.
- Review and update the English curriculum, integrate modern teaching methods and educational technology, and select appropriate resources.
- Monitor student progress, analyse performance data, and implement interventions for struggling learners and enrichment for high achievers.
- Collaborate with senior management, conduct department meetings, and communicate with parents as needed.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience teaching English language.
- Proven leadership experience in an academic or departmental role.
- Strong command of English and solid knowledge of modern teaching methodologies.
