Head of Fixed Income Investments

About the role

A leading asset manager in Saudi Arabia is looking for an experienced Head of Fixed Income Investments to lead its fixed income strategy across a diversified portfolio of institutional and discretionary mandates. The role covers portfolio oversight, strategy development and risk-adjusted returns, and suits a senior investment professional with deep experience in fixed income markets, especially in Saudi Arabia, the GCC and the wider MENA region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of fixed income strategies across multi-asset funds, fixed income funds and discretionary portfolios.
• Evaluate opportunities across regional and global markets, focusing on Saudi Arabia and the GCC, and manage portfolio construction, asset allocation, duration, credit exposure and risk.
• Generate investment ideas, oversee trade execution with domestic and international counterparties, and ensure compliance with client mandates and regulations.
• Conduct credit analysis and issuer assessments, monitor interest rates and macroeconomic trends, and work with research teams.
• Present investment recommendations, credit proposals and performance reports to senior management and investment committees.
• Build relationships with banks, brokers and institutional investors, support business development and new mandates, and mentor junior investment professionals.

Required profile

• 10-15+ years of progressive experience in fixed income investments, asset management, investment banking or financial markets.
• Track record managing fixed income portfolios and delivering consistent risk-adjusted returns.
• Previous leadership or team management experience is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field; CFA or a relevant postgraduate degree is advantageous.

Required skills

• Knowledge of government bonds, corporate bonds, sukuk and other debt securities.
• Credit analysis, portfolio construction, investment strategy and risk management.
• Understanding of regional and international fixed income markets, particularly Saudi Arabia and the GCC.
