Head of Local Real Estate Investments Audit Section

About the role

The Head of the Local Real Estate Investments Audit Section will lead the assurance function for PIF’s local real‑estate investment portfolio. This senior position ensures that investment processes, controls and risk‑management practices meet the highest standards of soundness, compliance and operational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the section’s audit strategy, aligning it with departmental and divisional goals.
• Provide strategic direction and performance management for direct reports, overseeing talent‑management activities.
• Design and maintain a risk‑based internal audit plan for local real‑estate investments, securing approval from senior leadership.
• Monitor and evaluate controls across investment sourcing, due diligence, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
• Oversee project‑management controls for multi‑year initiatives, ensuring governance, risk mitigation and timely reporting.
• Conduct integrated and targeted audit reviews, track observation closures, and report findings to the Head of Internal Audit.
• Assess internal control systems and support annual risk‑assessment and audit‑planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable audit standards, internal policies, and relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in internal audit, preferably within real‑estate investment or financial services.
• Strong understanding of risk‑based audit methodologies and investment control frameworks.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing audit teams and talent development.
• Ability to communicate audit findings and strategic recommendations to senior executives.
