Head of PMO

About the role

Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) for ALJ Properties, overseeing enterprise‑level governance and delivery across a large real‑estate portfolio in Saudi Arabia. The role integrates stakeholder management, delivery oversight and design leadership to ensure projects meet business objectives, budgets and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and run the PMO governance framework, including stage‑gate processes, master schedules, performance dashboards and change control mechanisms.
• Consolidate portfolio performance data and provide forward‑looking insight on schedule, cost, quality, dependencies and critical decisions.
• Oversee project delivery from mobilization through construction, commissioning, handover and close‑out, challenging delivery teams and ensuring escalation of material issues.
• Set and govern portfolio‑wide design principles, review gates and technical decision frameworks from concept through IFC.
• Lead stakeholder management across executives, authorities, utilities, strategic partners and operators, establishing engagement and escalation plans.
• Develop and mentor the PMO team, define accountabilities, manage risks, capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management, Real Estate Development or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Senior leadership experience in owner‑side real‑estate development, PMO or large capital‑project environments.
• Proven track record in multi‑project governance, delivery oversight and executive reporting.
• Professional certification such as PMP, PgMP, LEED or equivalent is preferred.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
