Head of QA/QC – Quality Assurance Lead

About the role

The Head of QA/QC will lead the quality assurance function for plant maintenance, ensuring that all processes comply with the company’s quality, health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QA plans and process control procedures to ensure maintenance activities meet company quality and HSEQ standards.
• Manage the Corrective Action program and other quality systems, ensuring timely closure of deviations and out‑of‑specification items.
• Coordinate and participate in internal audits together with company quality personnel.
• Conduct QA investigations, root‑cause analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review maintenance processes against SOPs and work instructions, providing guidance to contractors and internal teams.
• Train QA department staff, manage the QA budget and oversee administrative functions to ensure cost‑effective operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in quality control or assurance within engineering/industrial environments.
• Strong technical understanding of quality management, HSEQ standards and root‑cause analysis.
• Proven leadership abilities and experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
