Head of Systems – Vice President (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

The Vice President, Head of Systems will lead the delivery and maintenance of all IT systems and infrastructure for MUFG's Riyadh branch. You will act as the local owner of critical Saudi regulatory platforms, ensuring continuous service, compliance and effective incident governance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of end‑user computing, data centre, server, network and voice recording services, delivering accurate KPI/KRI reporting.
• Manage incident classification, resolution coordination, root‑cause analysis and post‑incident reviews.
• Implement information‑security controls in line with the regional CISO and the SAMA Cyber Security Framework.
• Serve as Data Protection Business Process Owner, maintaining process registers, coordinating DPIAs and enforcing technical safeguards.
• Maintain disaster‑recovery plans, lead annual DR exercises and ensure compliance with SAMA requirements.
• Manage vendor contracts, performance reviews, audit readiness and support procurement compliance.
• Line‑manage the Riyadh Systems team, set objectives, conduct performance reviews and promote skill development across MENA & EMEA.
• Represent MUFG at external conferences, peer‑bank forums and audit engagements.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of IT experience in regulated financial services, with proven accountability for system availability and compliance.
• Saudi national.
• Track record of leading IT teams or managing vendors, preferably with experience on SARIE or similar payment platforms.
• Relevant university degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology.

Required skills

• Microsoft Certified Engineer (Active Directory, Windows Server 2008 R2 or later, Windows 7, MS Office 2010 or later).
• Hands‑on expertise with Windows and Linux operating systems.
