Head of Technology Risk Resilience

About the role

The Head of Technology Risk Resilience leads the Technology Risk Resilience function within the Technology Risk Division (TRD). The role ensures the bank’s technology environment can prevent, withstand, and recover from disruptions by providing independent oversight, challenge, and assurance across incident management, control validation, disaster recovery, and testing.

Key responsibilities

• Define, maintain and approve the technology resilience risk framework, aligning with regulatory expectations and industry standards.
• Oversee independent risk assessments of major incidents, validate root‑cause analyses, and ensure lessons learned are tracked and implemented.
• Validate design and operating effectiveness of key IT controls, including change and release management, batch processing, and system monitoring.
• Establish and approve frameworks for independent testing assurance (SIT, UAT, regression, performance) and challenge testing outcomes before production deployment.
• Lead release and operational readiness risk assessments for major deployments, covering infrastructure, data migration, and environment setup.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in technology risk, resilience, or operational risk within a banking or financial services environment.
• Proven ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders and drive remediation of control gaps.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on root‑cause identification and systemic issue mitigation.
