Head Teacher – Special Education Primary School

About the role

We are seeking a visionary Head Teacher to lead a flagship Special Educational Needs (SEN) primary school in Riyadh. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape inclusive education in the region, working within an international initiative backed by a UK‑based specialist education group.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strong, visionary leadership and embed the school’s mission and values across all teaching and learning activities.
• Collaborate with the Executive Principal to define strategic direction and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee curriculum design and implementation tailored to SEN learners, ensuring alignment with international best practices.
• Maintain high standards of teaching, incorporating evidence‑based pedagogy, behaviour support and therapeutic interventions.
• Lead professional development and mentoring programmes for staff.
• Ensure compliance with KSA Ministry of Education regulations and international safeguarding standards.
• Manage school operations, including staffing, budgeting and resource allocation.
• Prepare the school for accreditation, external inspections and uphold governance standards.
• Build strong relationships with parents, caregivers and the wider community.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in a primary or SEN educational setting.
• Passion for inclusive education and a track record of improving outcomes for children with special needs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
• Strong organisational and strategic planning abilities.

• Competitive salary package up to £90,000 per annum (DOE) paid in local currency.
