Health, Safety & Sustainability Manager – Saudi National

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Sustainability Manager to join the pre‑opening team of FAENA The Red Sea, a luxury hotel project in Saudi Arabia. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of health, safety, security and environmental programmes, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture of wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain health, safety, security and loss‑prevention policies and procedures across the property.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections and audits, and coordinate emergency response, fire safety and evacuation drills.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and security breaches, ensuring proper reporting and corrective actions.
• Deliver training and awareness programmes on workplace safety, fire prevention and emergency response.
• Collaborate with Engineering, People & Culture and operational departments to ensure safe working practices.
• Maintain relationships with local authorities, emergency services and regulatory bodies.
• Support pre‑opening activities by establishing standards, procedures and training programmes for health, safety and sustainability.
• Champion regenerative tourism initiatives that benefit the environment, local communities and cultural heritage.

Required profile

• Previous experience in health & safety, sustainability or risk management within a luxury hotel or resort.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, environmental practices and sustainability initiatives.
• Proven ability to conduct audits, risk assessments, investigations and compliance reviews.
• Leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills with the ability to influence culture.
• Relevant qualification in occupational health & safety, environmental management or sustainability; certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH or LEED are preferred.
