Heavy Equipment Assessor (Trainer)

About the role

Eram Talent is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Assessor to evaluate and train operators on a range of machinery. You will ensure that assessments meet industry safety standards and help operators improve their skills.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct practical and theoretical assessments of heavy equipment operators.
• Ensure all assessments comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate records and produce detailed assessment reports.
• Provide constructive feedback to operators to enhance safety and performance.
• Collaborate with the training team to develop and update assessment materials.
• Support quality assurance and compliance audits related to operator competency.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• At least 5 years of industrial experience in a relevant role.
• 3 years of experience as an instructor or teacher.
• Technical qualification or diploma in the relevant craft/subject.
• Certification in specific heavy‑equipment categories (e.g., backhoe, bulldozer, forklift, crane, rigging).
• Knowledge of training/assessment development is an advantage.

Required skills

• Operation of Backhoe, Bulldozer, Forklift, Grader, Wheel loader, Skid loader, Backhoe loader, Sideboom, Telehandler.
• Experience with Cranes and Rigging equipment.
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and certification processes.
