HIS Application Support Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HIS Application Support Specialist to lead the end‑to‑end support, operation and continuous improvement of our Hospital Information System, primarily InterSystems TrakCare. The role ensures system stability, performance and alignment with clinical and business requirements while delivering rapid incident resolution and reliable integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, support and optimise core TrakCare modules (ADT, Billing, Pharmacy, Orders) to guarantee high availability and user satisfaction.
• Coordinate with InterSystems and other vendors to resolve issues, manage enhancements and ensure effective service delivery.
• Oversee daily HIS operations, monitor incidents and meet SLA targets.
• Maintain user roles, configurations and workflow updates.
• Manage integrations with LIS, RIS, PACS, ERP and NPHIES, using HL7, FHIR and API standards.
• Support the software development lifecycle for TrakCare upgrades, patches and new releases, ensuring proper testing, documentation and change management.
• Continuously improve workflows, automation and system efficiency across clinical and administrative functions.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, NPHIES and relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Health Informatics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with HIS/EMR systems.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of InterSystems TrakCare (mandatory).
• Fluency in Arabic and English.

• InterSystems TrakCare administration and optimisation.
• HL7 and FHIR integration standards.
• SQL and database fundamentals.
• Windows OS and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with APIs and system interfaces.
• Knowledge of NPHIES workflows and ZATCA RCM processes.
