HSEQ Officer

About the role

The HSEQ Officer will be based on‑site in Yanbu, working full‑time to promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, environment and quality across Sterling Ark’s projects. You will act as a key driver of compliance, risk mitigation and continuous improvement within a dynamic construction and real‑estate environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments and safety audits.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies and client requirements.
• Develop, update and implement HSEQ procedures, policies and documentation.
• Deliver trainings, toolbox talks and awareness sessions for project teams.
• Support incident investigations, root‑cause analyses and corrective‑action implementation.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors and client representatives to monitor performance metrics.
• Prepare HSEQ reports, maintain accurate records and engage stakeholders to foster a strong safety culture.

Required profile

• Strong health & safety and workplace safety experience on construction or real‑estate projects.
• Solid EHS knowledge, including environmental regulations, risk management and compliance frameworks.
• Occupational health expertise with the ability to identify hazards and implement controls.
• Recognised HSEQ certification such as NEBOSH or equivalent; familiarity with international standards.
• Excellent communication, reporting and training skills; attention to detail.
• Relevant diploma or degree in HSE, engineering or a related field is advantageous.
• Ability to work on‑site in Yanbu, manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
