Project Director – Facilities Management

About the role

The Project Director will lead the delivery of facilities management consultancy projects in Yanbu/Umluj, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, client expectations and industry standards. This senior role acts as a trusted adviser to clients, oversees FM service provider performance, and drives operational improvement and financial results.

Key responsibilities

• Direct FM consultancy projects, guaranteeing scope, quality, budget and timeline adherence.
• Develop delivery plans, allocate resources, assign responsibilities and monitor milestones.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards such as SFG20, NFPA, Saudi Building Code (SBC), ASHRAE, CIBSE and BICS.
• Identify project risks, implement mitigation measures and resolve issues promptly.
• Provide regular performance reports to management and clients.
• Serve as primary senior contact for clients, FM service providers and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee FM service providers, ensuring contractual compliance, SLA adherence and KPI achievement.
• Lead performance evaluations, technical reviews and corrective action monitoring.
• Conduct asset condition surveys, develop replacement plans, technical specifications and tender documents.
• Support design reviews, installation inspections, testing, commissioning and asset handover.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading facilities management consultancy projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and client advisory capabilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of FM standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and drive continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SFG20, NFPA, Saudi Building Code (SBC), ASHRAE, CIBSE and BICS standards.
• Asset condition surveying and assessment.
• Technical specification development and tender documentation.
• Performance monitoring and risk mitigation.
