Human Resources Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Human Resources Officer to manage core HR operations from recruitment through onboarding, employee relations, payroll support, and performance documentation. The role requires a detail‑oriented professional who can handle confidential information with discretion and ensure consistent, compliant HR execution across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment: post jobs, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, extend offers and oversee onboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee files, contracts and HR documentation while safeguarding confidentiality.
• Apply labor‑law knowledge to ensure day‑to‑day compliance.
• Address employee grievances and manage disciplinary processes with clear documentation.
• Support payroll and attendance by coordinating timesheets, leave records and liaising with payroll providers.
• Implement and update HR policies, SOPs and employee handbook content.
• Facilitate performance management cycles, including appraisal coordination and follow‑up.
• Organise training sessions, track completion and keep training records up to date.
• Produce routine HR reports on headcount, hiring pipeline, attrition and leave metrics.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and consistency in documentation and recurring HR processes.
• Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with fairness, discretion and calm communication.
• Comfortable coordinating with line managers, following up and closing loops without constant prompting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HR tools such as HRIS and ATS basics.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills for data tracking and reporting.
• Experience with document workflow management.
