Instrument Technician

About the role

ABIS is looking for an Instrument Technician to support the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation equipment and control systems. The technician ensures instruments operate accurately and efficiently, carries out routine calibrations, repairs and upgrades, and works closely with engineering teams to maintain process control in industrial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair various types of instrumentation and control devices
• Perform regular calibration and testing of instruments
• Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation faults and deviations
• Assist in commissioning and start-up of instrumentation systems
• Maintain accurate records such as maintenance logs and calibration certificates
• Follow safety protocols and comply with company and industry standards
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams for smooth process control

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Instrumentation, Electrical or a related technical field
• Proven experience as an Instrument Technician in industrial settings
• Familiarity with safety standards and practices

• Knowledge of instrumentation equipment, calibration and troubleshooting techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
