Internal Auditor

About the role

Air Products is seeking an Internal Auditor to join its global audit team. The role can be based in Cornella (Barcelona, Spain), Chertsey (Surrey, UK) or Dhahran (Saudi Arabia) and focuses on evaluating financial, operational and IT processes to ensure robust internal controls and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute financial and operational audits, assessing the adequacy of internal controls and compliance with company policies.
• Develop audit scopes, perform testing, and prepare detailed work papers and audit reports.
• Identify improvement opportunities, formulate recommendations, and follow up on remediation actions.
• Assist with the annual risk assessment and contribute to the internal audit plan.
• Test SOX controls and support the SOX PMO’s annual testing program.
• Participate in investigations and advisory engagements as directed by the Global Asset Protection team.

Required profile

• University degree (minimum Bachelor’s) in a relevant field.
• Strong understanding of internal audit, risk assessment and internal control concepts.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and manage time effectively.

Required skills

• Experience with SOX controls testing.
• Proficiency in developing audit scopes, work papers and reports.
