International Nurse Consultant

About the role

The International Nurse Consultant provides on‑site and remote consulting, education, and technical assistance to hospitals and health‑care systems worldwide. Working closely with Joint Commission Resources’ central office, the consultant helps clients improve patient care, quality, and safety while aligning with Joint Commission standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site and off‑site consulting services, tailoring engagements to each client’s unique needs.
• Generate leads, develop proposals, and drive sales of Joint Commission Resources’ consulting products.
• Maintain and grow client relationships through regular communication and follow‑up.
• Lead consulting teams when required, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery of all contracted deliverables.
• Prepare and present detailed consultation reports to senior health‑care executives.

Required profile

• Advanced nursing degree (Master’s) or equivalent health‑care professional qualification with current licensure.
• Ten or more years of health‑care experience, including seven to ten years in senior management or quality/performance improvement roles.
• Demonstrated experience in health‑care consulting or performance improvement in large (250+ bed) facilities.
• Willingness to travel 100% of the time and work internationally.
