Inventory Pharmacist

About the role

The Inventory Pharmacist is responsible for managing all aspects of pharmacy inventory, ensuring accurate records, proper storage, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role supports the pharmacy and broader healthcare operations by maintaining optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and adjustments.
• Monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts, periodic counts, and annual physical inventories.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and ensure proper recording in the approved ERP system.
• Receive, inspect, and verify pharmaceutical products, medical consumables, and healthcare supplies.
• Ensure storage conditions meet manufacturer requirements and healthcare regulations.
• Coordinate issuance and distribution of inventory items to authorized departments.
• Monitor expiry dates, implement FEFO practices, and prepare near‑expiry reports.
• Manage slow‑moving, obsolete, and non‑moving inventory and oversee disposal of expired or damaged items.
• Ensure compliance with SFDA, MOH, SCFHS, CBAHI, JCI, and company policies.
• Prepare periodic inventory, variance, and stock status reports and support demand forecasting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
• Valid SCFHS registration and professional classification.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged; prior experience in pharmacy stores, inventory management, or healthcare supply chain is a plus.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical storage requirements and inventory control principles.
