IT Security Specialist

About the role

The IT Security Specialist will join a dynamic cybersecurity team, handling day‑to‑day operational tasks and supporting the organization’s security posture. You will work closely with senior staff to ensure that all technical implementations meet strict security policies and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily cybersecurity operational tasks while adhering to security policies and risk‑management frameworks.
• Maintain and support Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) components and related systems.
• Verify that service changes comply with security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, report, and help mitigate potential cyber risks during implementation and routine operations.
• Configure, patch, and monitor security tools such as vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection solutions, and SIEM platforms.
• Monitor security consoles, assess alerts, and escalate threats to the appropriate team lead.
• Assist in initial containment and triage of security incidents following established response procedures.
• Conduct scheduled vulnerability assessments and document findings for remediation planning.
• Support penetration testing activities and apply security best‑practice guidance during system configuration.
• Provide documentation and data to internal and external auditors to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Produce clear technical reports on monitoring activity, tool status, and incident support.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in IT security, preferably within the payments or banking sector.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Self‑motivated with strong initiative and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
