IT Specialist – Technical Support & System Administration

About the role

The IT Specialist provides first‑ and second‑level technical support, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software, and network services. The role combines hands‑on troubleshooting with system administration and contributes to continuous improvement of IT processes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑ and second‑level support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and other peripherals.
• Respond to service requests via phone, email, ticketing system or in‑person.
• Install, configure and maintain software, hardware, system updates and servers.
• Monitor system and network performance, plan upgrades and integrate new applications.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, document issues in the knowledge base and create technical documentation.
• Develop and implement backup, disaster‑recovery and security procedures.
• Assist with onboarding/off‑boarding, hardware deployment and account setup.
• Mentor team members, provide training and supervise system administrators.
• Escalate complex issues to senior staff and collaborate with other departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 0‑2 years of IT support experience (junior) or 3+ years for a senior‑level position, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent documentation skills.
