IT Support Officer

About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Officer to deliver first‑line technical assistance to all business units, ensuring that hardware, software and network services meet the agreed Service Level Agreements. The role combines on‑site and remote support, equipment preparation, and participation in IT projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide SLA‑based support to business units for hardware, software and network issues.
• Format, configure and deploy laptops and desktops for new and existing users.
• Repair printers, scanners and photocopiers and coordinate third‑party servicing when required.
• Install and configure a wide range of software applications for users.
• Liaise with suppliers of laptops, desktops and accessories to resolve technical cases.
• Deliver first‑line network, telecom and infrastructure support, including cabling, point testing and troubleshooting.
• Execute IT‑related projects assigned by the Support Manager and support multiple sites.
• Update the knowledge base after each resolved incident to improve future response times.
• Assist colleagues across all business units with equipment repair, replacement and technical problems.
• Provide flexible technical support both on‑site and remotely, and ensure timely delivery and setup of equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in providing IT support within an SLA‑driven environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, including hardware preparation, software deployment and network troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal users.
• Willingness to participate in IT projects and maintain documentation.
