Junior Maintenance Technician – Material Handling Systems

About the role

The Junior Maintenance Technician will support material handling systems, ensuring equipment availability, safety compliance and operational quality. The role involves reactive maintenance calls and routine upkeep of various mechanical and electrical assets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance duties and reactive calls on material handling systems to maintain productivity and output.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and electrical equipment such as motors, circuits, ATR systems, baggage handling equipment, and conveyor systems.
• Use hand tools and precision measuring and testing instruments in accordance with diagrams, electrical drawings, operational manuals, and manufacturer specifications.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher in Electrical/Electromechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electro‑mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• At least 2 years of material handling experience (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ability to obtain and sustain an Airport ID badge.

Required skills

• Understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings/prints.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Basic knowledge of PLC and PC control systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Experience with CMMS software.
