Junior Urban Designer – Riyadh

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Urban Designer to support the planning, design, and delivery of urban development projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves assisting with urban design studies, concept plans, master plans, and public realm initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing urban design studies, concept plans, master plans, and development frameworks.
• Produce high‑quality drawings, diagrams, presentations, and reports.
• Conduct site assessments, urban analysis, land‑use studies, and benchmarking exercises.
• Support the development of public realm, streetscape, landscape, and placemaking initiatives.
• Help prepare design guidelines, planning reports, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, planners, landscape architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Review design submissions to ensure compliance with project objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related discipline.
• 1–4 years of professional experience in urban design, planning, architecture, or related fields.
• Strong design, graphic communication, and visualization capabilities.
• Familiarity with urban design principles, public realm design, and placemaking concepts.
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
