Laundry Runner – Hotel Service Associate

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Laundry Runner to join the housekeeping team at Shangri‑La Jeddah. The role involves handling all linen, uniform and guest laundry, ensuring the laundry room operates smoothly and meets the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and service.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, sort and process guest laundry, linen and staff uniforms.
• Operate and monitor laundry equipment, reporting any faults.
• Prepare daily production forms and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure the laundry area is clean, tidy and ready for the next shift.
• Shut down steam pipes, switches and main panels at the end of the shift where applicable.
• Hand over dirty uniforms to the linen room and follow environmental best practices such as recycling and waste reduction.
• Sign‑in and sign‑out on duty, wearing smart, clean and well‑groomed attire.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in hotel laundry operations (200+ rooms) or large commercial laundry.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work extended duty hours.
• Professional appearance and strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment monitoring.
