Lead Production Planner – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

Maaden is seeking a Lead Production Planner to drive its Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and ensure efficient, high‑quality production across its mining and metals facilities in Ras Al Khair. The role will coordinate daily, weekly and monthly production plans, optimize resources, and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the S&OP process, aligning demand forecasts with production capacity and inventory strategies.
• Develop and oversee detailed production schedules based on business priorities and resource availability.
• Allocate manpower, equipment and materials to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
• Analyze KPIs such as efficiency, productivity and downtime, and implement improvement actions.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or similar initiatives to reduce waste and boost productivity.
• Collaborate with sales, supply chain, quality and logistics teams to ensure plan alignment.
• Utilize ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) for planning, analysis and reporting.
• Prepare regular analytical reports for management and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Mentor junior planners and support team development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Recognized supply‑chain certification (e.g., CPIM) or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in production planning and S&OP within an industrial environment.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive continuous improvement.
