Lead Specialist, Engineering and ETL/ELT Enterprise

About the role

Ma'aden, a major multi-commodity mining and metals company, is hiring a Lead Specialist, Engineering and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL/ELT) Enterprise in Riyadh. The role builds and optimises scalable data pipelines that turn raw data into high-quality information assets, with strong governance, operational resilience and performance standards supporting business intelligence, analytics and decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver scalable, reliable and governed ETL/ELT pipelines for analytics and reporting, aligned with approved data models and architecture standards.
• Build data quality controls, validation, reconciliation and testing, and embed metadata, lineage and discoverability across data assets.
• Optimise pipeline performance and stability through tuning, monitoring, alerting, incident management and proactive risk mitigation.
• Provide technical leadership: guide engineering quality, develop reusable components, standards and playbooks, and influence technical decisions.
• Work with data modelers, governance teams, platform specialists and business stakeholders to deliver integrated data solutions and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• 7-10 years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development and modern data platforms.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale production pipelines, data quality and governance practices, and technical leadership across engineering, governance and business teams.
