Legal Counsel – Commercial Contracting

About the role

Boston Consulting Group is seeking a seasoned Legal Counsel specialized in commercial contracting to join its Global Legal Team. The role focuses on supporting BCG’s operations across the Middle East and the broader EMESA region while also providing global legal assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate fully with BCG’s Global Legal Team, concentrating on commercial matters, risk identification, and internal process improvement, primarily for the Middle East and EMESA region.
• Champion BCG’s contracting and risk‑management standards.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including master services agreements, licensing agreements, subcontractor and partnership agreements, and nondisclosure agreements.
• Independently produce high‑quality legal documents on tight timelines.
• Develop, implement, and promote contracting policies and processes, and assist in obtaining approvals for policy deviations.
• Provide contracting support worldwide and, when needed, act as general counsel on a full spectrum of legal issues for the firm.
• Offer counsel on licensing, intellectual property, transaction structuring, data protection, competition law, trade regulations, and conflicts of interest.
• Identify risks, propose alternative solutions, and ensure effective resolution of complex legal matters.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business functions and the legal team.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of legal templates and team knowledge.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with several years of experience in commercial contracting and global legal matters.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage a full range of legal issues.
• Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Familiarity with risk management, contract policies, and regulatory compliance.
• Capability to support multiple regions, especially the Middle East and EMESA.
