Lighting Design Consultant – Senior Level

About the role

WSP Middle East is looking for a passionate and creative Lighting Design Consultant to join its Innovation Lighting Design Studio in Dubai. You will shape lighting concepts for high‑profile projects, collaborating with architects, engineers and clients to deliver transformative environments.

Key responsibilities

• Produce comprehensive lighting designs, including sketches, graphical drawings, specifications, design reports and mock‑ups.
• Lead projects through all phases, managing budgets, timelines and technical documentation.
• Apply deep knowledge of lighting standards and control systems using tools such as DIALux, AGI32 and Revit.
• Serve as the primary client contact, delivering presentations and managing design expectations.
• Conduct on‑site inspections, coordinate with contractors and oversee implementation of lighting solutions.
• Stay updated on market trends, sustainable practices and emerging technologies, sharing insights with the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Architectural Lighting Design or equivalent with full professional qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in lighting design consultancy.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely while staying engaged with the core team.
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.
