Machine Operator – Production

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Machine Operator to join our production team. The role involves operating equipment safely, ensuring production consistency, and supporting quality and maintenance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Validate the availability of all required documents (JFT, IFM, etc.) before starting a new job to minimise downtime.
• Operate the machine according to Work Instructions and IFM guidelines to ensure safe and efficient production.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and request support when needed to keep the line running.
• Coordinate with the QC Inspector to verify startup runs and confirm that finished goods meet specifications.
• Report any quality defects to QC and the Team Leader for corrective action.
• Request maintenance support through the Team Leader for corrective maintenance activities.
• Assign tasks to Helpers, maintain an organised workflow and uphold 5S standards around the machine and workplace.
• Inform Helpers about required bag and pallet types and set the filling scale according to the required bag weight.
• Record daily production data in DPR and ERP systems and submit it to the Team Leader.
• Complete machine parameter forms for approval and system logging.
• Check product and pallet labels to ensure correct details and proper packing mode.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with QC, maintenance and helpers.
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced production environment.

Required skills

• Experience operating production machinery.
• Familiarity with ERP and DPR data entry systems.
• Knowledge of IFM documentation and 5S workplace organisation.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
