Maintenance Engineer – Electrical & Mechatronics

About the role

Nextpower is seeking a Maintenance Engineer – Electrical & Mechatronics to ensure reliable operation of its factory equipment in Saudi Arabia. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will lead maintenance activities across a range of machines including press, CNC, laser cutting, drilling, tube mill and slitting lines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on all factory machinery (hands‑on).
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, control systems, drives, motors and automation panels.
• Maintain equipment uptime while minimizing breakdowns.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to reduce downtime and improve process efficiency.
• Develop and follow maintenance schedules, lock‑out/tag‑out procedures and risk assessments.
• Monitor vibration, temperature, lubrication and energy consumption parameters.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with OEMs and suppliers.
• Supervise junior technicians, apprentices and third‑party contractors.

Required profile

• Experience in industrial maintenance of electrical and mechatronic systems.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior technicians.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to safety standards.
