Maintenance Engineer

About the role

MEMF Power Transformer is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to lead and optimize maintenance activities for its power transformer manufacturing plant. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for production equipment and plant facilities.
• Lead troubleshooting, diagnosis, and rectification of electrical and mechanical equipment failures.
• Ensure availability and reliability of critical equipment used in transformer manufacturing and assembly.
• Analyze equipment breakdowns and perform Root Cause Analysis to eliminate recurring failures.
• Supervise maintenance activities and provide technical guidance to technicians.
• Coordinate planned shutdowns, major maintenance activities, and equipment overhauls.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements for reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Review electrical drawings, control circuits, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, KPIs, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and HSE teams to ensure smooth and safe operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within a power transformer manufacturing or heavy electrical environment.
• Strong practical knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, transformers, MCCs, control panels, PLCs, VFDs, and protection systems.
• Solid understanding of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies.
• Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and Root Cause Analysis.
