Manager, Powertrain Production Operations

About the role

Lucid is building a greenfield powertrain facility in Saudi Arabia and needs a seasoned leader to own 24/7 production execution for Drive Unit and HV Battery assembly shops. The Manager, Powertrain Production Operations will establish the entire production organization from the ground up, guiding the team through commissioning, volume ramp‑up, and ongoing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end production across all shifts, delivering volume, OEE, FPY and cost‑per‑unit targets.
• Build and staff the production organization, including shift managers, supervisors, team leads and operators.
• Own operational budget for labor, overtime, consumables and conversion costs.
• Drive launch governance, safety and capacity verification through SOP and ramp‑up phases.
• Conduct QRQC, War Room escalations and layered process audits during launch.
• Define, cascade and govern SQDCPE KPIs and tiered accountability routines.
• Ensure HV safety compliance (LOTO, HVIL, PPE) and readiness for future powertrain variants.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing 24/7 automotive powertrain production or similar high‑mix, high‑volume manufacturing environments.
• Track record of launching and ramping up new production lines, including safety, quality and cost accountability.
• Ability to build a production workforce from scratch and develop shift leadership teams.
• Strong understanding of operational budgeting, KPI management and cross‑functional coordination with supply chain, quality and engineering.

Required skills

• HV safety procedures (LOTO, HVIL, PPE) implementation.
• QRQC and rapid problem‑solving methodologies.
• Production KPI analysis (OEE, FPY, cost‑per‑unit).
