Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Our client, a major Oil & Gas company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their Saudi Arabia site. The role focuses on driving Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, improving manufacturing processes, and supporting product design for manufacturability.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Lean concepts such as standardized work, line balancing, layout optimization, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen/5S, TPM, and quick changeover.
• Manage change actions, new product introductions, sales order reviews, process mapping, and updates to manufacturing Bills of Materials, routings, and fixtures.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects targeting yield, cycle‑time reduction, and productivity.
• Make & buy decisions, tooling selection, fixture design, and provide feedback to CNC programmers to enhance machining efficiency.
• Review and sign‑off Engineering Change Orders affecting inventory, product life‑cycle, and obsolescence.
• Create and monitor KPIs on process capability, product quality, and cost reduction.
• Support quality investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in Oil & Gas.
• Lean Six Sigma certification with proven project delivery.
• Experience with SAP (including Demand Planning) and machining centre operations.
