Marketplace/Retail Team Lead

About the role

The Marketplace/Retail Team Lead is responsible for driving short‑term and long‑term sales performance across the assigned area. You will supervise field sales routes, ensure compliance with execution standards, and develop the sales team to exceed volume and revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, motivate and control sales representatives to meet agreed sales and profit targets.
• Conduct weekly route control sessions, 1:1 coaching and formal meetings to ensure compliance with standards.
• Perform regular market visits to monitor market changes and relay insights to regional management.
• Implement product promotional plans at the right time and place across all routes.
• Manage administrative tasks such as stock handling, returnable cases and daily invoicing.
• Select, train and develop sales personnel according to company standards.
• Maintain strong relationships with stockists, key wholesale and OT customers.
• Expand distribution according to the annual operating plan and ensure proper execution of new product initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading and developing a field sales team.
• Strong analytical ability to update databases, measure performance and create action plans.
• Experience in volume forecasting and route optimisation.
• Ability to work closely with stockists and key customers to improve service and execution efficiency.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
