Material Planner

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Material Planner to join our Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating material requirements to ensure uninterrupted production operations while optimizing inventory levels and supporting on-time customer deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage material requirements using MRP systems based on the Master Production Schedule.
• Determine material quantities, reorder points and generate purchase requisitions to support production demand.
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate material movements and conduct inventory analysis to optimize stock.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Engineering and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth material flow and timely deliveries.
• Analyze demand forecasts and prepare material planning, inventory and shortage reports.
• Track KPIs related to inventory, material availability and supplier performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in material planning, production planning, procurement or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems in industrial or manufacturing operations.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, engineering or heavy industry preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.
• Use of business intelligence tools for reporting and analysis.
