Materials and Production Planner

About the role

As a Materials and Production Planner at 3M, you will join a global team of innovators to ensure production schedules meet customer demand while optimizing operational efficiency. This on‑site position in Medina, OH, offers the chance to work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules for assigned work centers.
• Procure materials and coordinate with suppliers to meet future production needs.
• Collaborate with business teams to understand forecasts and customer requirements.
• Prioritize and resolve supply constraints with manufacturing and value‑stream leadership.
• Execute standard work using supply‑chain tools, IT systems, and ERP platforms.
• Own performance metrics such as On‑Time In‑Full (OTIF), backlog, and plan attainment.
• Optimize lot sizes, production cycles, and safety stocks to balance service and inventory.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, verified before start date.
• Minimum four years of supply‑chain experience in any sector.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Inventory management knowledge.
